This BSP does not depend on real existing hardware. It uses QEMU to run on and is intended for beginners in the embedded world. It let you get a feeling, what cross compiling means, when working with software in the embedded world. It also shows how our buildsystem PTXdist works and how to adapt things in accordance to your own needs.

Information about the hardware

To use this BSP no real hardware is required. Everything is prepared to run in QEMU. So, we named this BSP "generic".
Nevertheless you can use this BSP also for your own ARM or x86 based hardware.

• complete automated buildsystem for cross development (PTXdist based)

• support for emulated hardware on an x86 or ARM platform

Where to get the latest and greatest

Development on this BSP happens in a GIT repository. To be able to test new features or to contribute, always the current GIT status must be used.
